I am the second son of Shaji Karun and Anasuya. I have an elder brother Anil, who is doing his Ph.D at University of Texas, Austin. My family also consists of 4 films.

My father is a renowned film maker in India. His first three films where premiered at the official section of the prestigious Cannes Film festival, His debut film Piravi bagged Camera D'or during the festival.
