The workshop aimed at introducing standards and methodologies for building large geospatial applications, specifically spatial data infrastructures for cataloguing, searching, and accessing geospatial data. The main areas which were focused are as follows:
Data modelling, OGC reference models, developing application schemas
Metadata, temporal and topological data
3D modelling
Advanced GML and related OGC standards
Catalogue services, search and interoperability
Web processing standards and implementations
SDI frameworks
Spatial database technologies
