Introduction

• Classification has been identified as an important problem in the emerging field of data mining. More focus is being on larger datasets to improve the classification model.
• In classification, we are given a set of example records, called training sets. Each record consists of several fields or attributes.

• The classification attributes indicates that the class to which an example belongs. The objective of the classification is to build a model of the classifying attribute. Once the model is built, it can be used to determine the class of unseen or future unclassified records.
