A generic system to register a variety of complaints (computer,
electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, etc., this list should be
customizable), track the resolution status and generate reports summarizing
performance/satisfaction at different levels (individual,
division/company, etc.)
Generic method to help meter readers and other collect data on palmtops
and synchronize them with earlier data. Integrity checks for wrong data
entry.
Expenditure on each project, under different heads (salaries, equipment,
inst overheads, consumables, etc) and amounts received.
Generation of summaries for different periods. Also, generation of
details under different heads. Interfacing to existing system if
possible.
Track IITB staff/students. Include address, photo/signature and other
personal information. Also track key permissions and other permissions.
The goal is to track network status by periodically contacting a number
of servers, and to record summary information (similar to MRTG) and
give a nice interface to summaries. May also involve modifying local
servers to give link status information to local machines.
This project will use smart cards + smart card readers to better
authenticate users, and then provide a method for creating a personalized
interface, based on allowed types of access and past usage.
