Hussain Sagar Lake & Tank Bund

Located at a distance of 3 km. from Hyderabad, this lake is popularly known as Tank Bund. A major attraction of the lake, is the 18-meter high, 350-ton monolithic Buddha statue on the Rock of Gibraltar made of white granite. On the opposite side of the lake the tank bund is adorned with 33 statues of Andhra Pradesh luminaries from various fields.

Hussain Sagar also holds the annual Yatching and Sailing regatta, which attracts good crowd from all over the country. The APTTDC also organizes boating facilities for tourists.

The Hussain Sagar Lake, which links the twin cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad was constructed in 1562 A.D.
