This year's COMAD conference is being held at VNIT, Nagpur.



Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (Deemed University), Nagpur, is named in the memory of Bharat Ratna Shri Mokhsgundam Visvesvaraya, the celebrated Civil Engineer-Planner-Statesman of the country. Earlier known as Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering (REC), this institute is among the first few RECs to have been accorded the status of a National Institute. The college campus is located near Ambazari Lake in an area of 210 Acres. It is about 6 Kms from the bus station and 8 Kms from the railway station. The institute offers Under-graduate and Post-graduates level courses in various disciplines of Engineering and Technology. Apart from imparting professional education at under-graduate and post-graduate levels, the institute has been extending available expertise to various industries located in and around Nagpur.

Earlier a part of a larger department, the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering came into being in 1994. It offers under-graduate and post-graduate programs. The department has well qualified and motivated faculty members and support staff. The laboratories are adequately equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The department is actively involved in R&D as well as consultancy projects and has collaborations with several industries, academic institutes and R&D organizations in the country.
