A few relevant events to be held in and outside the country!
- SecNet-2005 - IIT Bombay
SecNet 2005 is scheduled from 11 - 13 Feb 2005. In SecNet 2005,
a panel of renowned experts will provide tutorial overviews of the
latest techniques of network security with lab sessions to give a
practical experience of these techniques. Special emphasis would be
on topics like Cryptographic Protocols and their Verification, Cross
Site Scripting, Iptables, Secure coding, Biometric Security, Fraud
Detection Systems, Enterprise Security and Wireless Security.

- Bitwise - IIT Kharagpur's online programming contest
BITWISE, an annual programming contest, held by Computer Science &
Engineering Department Society, IIT Kharagpur, is scheduled on Sunday,
February 13, 2005. It is algorithm intensive and time constrained.
The registration is free and open to all.

- INFOFEST 2005 - Battle of Wits for Bits
Infofest 2005 is an annual IT meet which will be held on the 7th, 8th
and 9th of February 2005. This is a national level IT meet, involving
colleges imparting computer education. The main focus of Infofest 2005 is
team work and team spirit among the students in Goa and other states.
The meet will comprise of various events to test the technical, non-technical
and managerial expertise of participants. Besides this seminars will be
conducted by eminent personalities from the IT industry relating to various
aspects of the Information Technology domain.

- Engineer2005 - National Institute of Technology, Karnataka
'Engineer', NITK's national level technical symposium is a forum for
students and technical enthusiasts from all over the world. It not only aims
to germinate an appreciation of science and technology amongst the youth, but
also seeks to instill into the young minds the ability to accept challenges,
and to strive towards finding an innovative solution on their own. It is an
endeavour to provide a platform, for engineers all over the country and abroad,
to realise their ideas and assimilate new ones by interfacing with each other.

- Renaissance 2005 - National Seminar on Free and Open Source Software
'Renaissance 2005 - National Seminar on Free and Open Source Software' will be
conducted on 24, 25 and 26 February 2005, at MCA. Govt. Engineering College,
Thrissur. It will bring together the experts in the FOSS field and Seminars
