Report Writing Tips
Prof. Sudarshan's points for a good seminar report
- Please xerox your seminar reports double sided. Please do
NOT use plastic covers. Stapling is fine as long as you make sure
the staples are properly folded and will not cause injuries. If
you can't get a decent stapler, using a plastic slide-in binding
is fine
- When using latex make sure:
- You use refs/cites and avoid hard coding of section numbers/paper
references
- Use BibTeX for automatic bibliography generation. A humble
online guide is
here
- For the standard report format, here is a template file Seminar.tex which uses just this one
style file iitbtitle.sty. All
packages that it includes are installed on Voxel
- The sample postscript version of a seminar report is here

the same, and the tiny sample.bib
