Research Work:
The
aim of my work is to develop a suite of tools for processing of Indian
Languages. So far, Stemmer, Morphological analyzer and a Part of Speech Tagger
for Indian Languages has been developed. All the above tools have language
independent engines and depend on deep language specific analysis. I have also
worked on developing a stochastic model for Part of Speech tagging based on the
principles of Hidden Markov Models. This model tries to use Linguistic features
for the purpose of Part of Speech tagging.
In the coming year I intend to
tackle the problem of chunking and later touch upon parsing of Indian
Languages.
Expected time to finish: Six Months (6 months)
