Sri Deep Narayan Mahaprabhuji Bhagwan Sri Deep Narayan Mahaprabhuji ( November 11 , 1828 - December 5 , 1963 ) , was a mystic and yogi . His followers and devotees claim he was an avatar . His guru was Sri Devpuriji . The Guru of Dharmsamrat Paramhans Swami Madhavananda and Satguru of Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda . Mahaprabhuji ( as he is known by his followers ) lived and worked in Bari Khatu , Nagaur district , Rajasthan , India , according to his biographer , Swami Madhavananda . Sri Mahaprabhuji was born on Diwali , the Hindu festival of lights . The `` Deva Dunga Sanyas '' Ashram of Sri Mahaprabhuji in Bari Khatu on the edge of the Thar desert , also the place of his Mahasamadhi , became a place of pilgrimage after his death . He reportedly lived to the age of 135 years .
