Yasoda In Purana , Yasoda was wife of Nanda and foster-mother of , Krishna , who , according to the story was given to them by Vasudeva . Yasoda also played an important role in the upbrinding of Balarama ( the son of Rohini ) and his sister Subhadra . She is also sometimes described as having her own daughter , known as Ekānaṅgā .
