<p>Main Roads is one of the human resources best practice organisations in Australia the 2003, and has won a number of national awards in this area.</p>

<p>John was previously the Executive Director Human Resources and has worked in this capacity in both the Public and Private Sectors in Australia and in London. </p>

<p>John has lectured in the MBA programs at the Graduate School of Management at the University of Western Australia, Chifley Business School and at the Graduate School of Business at Curtin University specialising in the areas of Human Resource Management, Organisational Development and Industrial Relations.</p>

														<p>For over 22 years Glen Bartlett has worked in the industrial relations area.  Glen practices in all aspects of workplace relations and employment law and has been a Partner at Clayton Utz since 2000.  </p><p> He has acted for clients in the industries including transport, energy and resources, retail, secondary and tertiary education, emergency services, power supply, postal, security and rural industries, as well as local, state and commonwealth government employers. </p><p> He has an extensive experience in advising and representing a wide range of corporations on issues arising out of sales, mergers and liquidations. </p><p> Glen has first-hand experience in assisting clients with designing and implementing tailored training products including training courses for managers and supervisors, and advocacy before Industrial Tribunals and courts.</p><p>
Glen studied commerce at Curtin University majoring in Accounting & Business Law, prior to studying and practising law. He also held a full-time lecturing position at Murdoch University and has been a guest lecturer at Curtin, UWA and Edith Cowan University.</p><p>

Glen's Melbourne workplace practice acts for a number of Universities on the East Coast and also works closely with Dr Graham Smith in this sector.

														<p>Rob Delane is Director General of the Department of Agriculture and Food Western Australia (DAFWA), where he has responsibility for 1250 staff delivering a wide range of outcomes for the state’s agriculture and food sector, general community and environment.</p><p>
During 2008-09 he held the position of Deputy Secretary, Biosecurity Services Group with the Commonwealth Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF).

</p><p>Rob has considerable knowledge of Australia’s agricultural industries including tropical, temperate and rangelands regions, irrigated and dry land production, research and development, technology transfer and industry development, biosecurity and natural resource management, policy, regulation and promotion.  
</p><p>Rob has extensive experience in research management, including DAFWA participation in a range of Cooperative Research Centres.  He is a keen promoter of regional, State, national and international cooperative initiatives and government-industry partnerships.</p><p>
Rob holds a Master of Science (Agricultural Science) and a Bachelor of Science (Agricultural Science).  He is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.  In 2007 Rob received a Public Service Medal for outstanding service to the agricultural industries and community of Western Australia.</p>

														<p>In her role as Head of Strategy & Products for BankWest Retail, Selina Duncalf has accountability for the strategy and product portfolio performance  of the Division including Saving and Investment products, Home Loans and Credit Cards, eCommerce and strategic planning. </p>

<p>The retail industry was the launch pad for Selina’s career. At Coles Myer, she held management positions expanding over the  functions of sales, finance  and  human  resources,  and  through  her  retail achievements and commitment to the industry in 1995 she was awarded Young Retail Executive of the Year by the Retail Traders’ Association of WA.  Three years later, Selina was lured by the challenge of moving into the banking and finance industry and accepted a position with BankWest, where she coordinated several successful organisational development projects before being appointed to her first executive role as Chief Operating Officer for the Retail Division. </p>

<p>Selina holds a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Marketing, a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and an Executive MBA, all attained through Curtin University of Technology.<p>

<p>In 2004, Selina was recognised in the WA Business News 40 Under 40 Awards, where she received a special commendation and was announced winner of the City of Perth Award.  Selina is a Fellow of Leadership WA (LWA) and is a member of the LWA Finance Advisory Committee.</p>

<p>Despite having a busy and successful career, Selina maintains that her most important  and  rewarding  roles  in life are that of wife to her husband Gareth and mother to her eight year-old son Kyle and 3 year old daughter, Caitlin.</p>

<p>His current position, since February 2000, is Regional General Manager,  Western Australia and Northern Territory. </p>

<p>Ian is a member of the General Council of the West Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a director of the Perth Convention Bureau and a member of the Governing Council of Central TAFE in Perth.</p>

His specialist business advisory skills lie in the areas of business and strategic planning, project management, marketing and human resource management. He has been involved in the establishment and operation of three successful business development organisations in Western Australia. </p>

<p>Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, a Graduate Certificate in Management and a Masters of Business Administration from Curtin University of Technology and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.</p>

<p>In 2004, he was seconded to the Rottnest Island Taskforce as Executive Officer, to undertake a detailed analysis of the business model of Rottnest Island. Stephen was responsible for overseeing the 2005-2006 SBDC transition from Business Enterprise Centres to Small Business Centre Network.</p>   

<p>Stephen holds a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Human Resource Development from the University of South Australia. </p>

														<p>Chris has had an extensive career in human resources management.</p>

<p> His career includes being the General Manager of HR at Wesfarmers for over 10 years, and currently undertakes business advisory work predominantly in the resources, infrastructure and construction sectors.  He is a Non-Executive Director of Resource Development Group Limited.</p>  

<p>As a member of the executive team at Wesfarmers Chris worked closely with the CEO and Board in developing Group HR strategies which supported the sustained success of the Group. Chris led the people aspects of the Coles Group acquisition, which was the largest corporate transaction that has been undertaken in Australia.  His interests are in organization development, talent management and remuneration strategy.</p>

<p>He holds a Bachelor of Business and has completed the Company Directors diploma; he is a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute and an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.</p>

<p>Bella has more than 16 years of tertiary teaching, business research and consulting experience, including her international career. Bella’s expertise is built on business strategy in dynamic markets; partnerships, alliances and networks; inter firm cooperation in clusters; international business; and sustainability of regional economies. She is skillful in the use of both classic and current analytical techniques relevant to her area of expertise.   </p>

<p>In addition to her academic career, Bella has business experience in international civil aviation; she previously worked in a newly created regional cargo airline company where she was responsible for a broad range of tasks: marketing and market analysis; accreditation and memberships in international organisations of civil aviation; obtaining permissions to perform flights from international airports; establishing new offices in international locations, writing business-plans reports for the regional, state and international authorities and broader categories of stakeholders. </p>

<p>Bella has an international experience of business consulting and executive education. She has demonstrated leaderships and relationships building skills in a broad international community. </p>

														<p>Dr Carolyn Dickie is a lecturer in Human Resource Management. She joined Curtin full-time in 2007 after many years of sessional teaching whilst working in various organisations in the finance and banking sector as well as the arts.</p> 

<p>She has been engaged in teaching both under-graduate and post-graduate students in various HR topics and has a particular interest in making the theoretical concepts meaningful to practitioners. Carolyn has extensive experience teaching at university level in Asia and Europe. Carolyn’s research interests include all aspects of human resource management, cross-cultural issues, ethics in business and teaching and learning paradigms. </p>

<p>She has published nationally and internationally in academic, refereed journals as well as in practitioner journals. She is a member of AHRI and provides corporate HR training to Government agencies in Western Australia.</p>

														<p>Evan has experience in the areas of Government and Higher Education.  His skills are in areas such as surveying and mapping, account management, senior management, marketing and business development. </p><p>He joined Curtin University in February 1998 following a 32 year career with the Commonwealth Public Service initially in surveying and mapping and concluding as Regional General Manager Western Australia/South Australia for the Department of Administrative Services. </p>

<p>Evan is now the Director External Relations, Curtin Business School; he is responsible for creating links with industry, marketing, market analysis, careers and alumni. Before commencing the position with the Curtin Business School in January 2008, Evan occupied positions within Curtin University as Director University Development and Director Strategy and External Relations in the Office of Strategy and Planning.</p>

<p>Evan is very involved in community and business activities.  He is Past President of the Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and was a foundation committee member of St Basil’s Aged Care Services. Currently he is a Governor with the American Chamber of Commerce (WA) and a Board member of the Hellenic Community Aged Care. Evan is also  a member of the Business Policy Committee for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of WA.  Evan was recently been appointed Deputy Chair of the WA Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Business Policy Forum and as an Honorary Life Member of the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA (Inc). </p>

														<p>During his career Tony has held a number of senior leadership roles. </p>

 <p> These roles have included the Dean of the University of Adelaide and Head of Research at the Workplace Research Centre at the University of Sydney. Additionally he has held the position of Visiting Professor at Stanford University where he taught MBA students at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. </p>

<p>Tony obtained his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Management from the University of Western Australia. Tony has published widely in the areas of change management, leadership, organisational commitment, workplace trust and emotional intelligence. Tony has over 100 publications including a substantial number of refereed journal articles in the aforementioned areas of expertise. 
Tony's most recent book, Organisational Behaviour on the Pacific Rim is co-authored with Professor Steve McShane from the University of Western Australia and has become the best selling management text throughout Australia.</p>

<p>Tony has been active in the area of consulting in Australia and overseas. In Australia his clients have included ANZ bank, BHP, QANTAS, Nespresso, Main Roads Western Australia, Westrail, Hunter Area Health, and Centrelink. Additionally, he has conducted projects in London with a number of international organisations including Norwich Union, Royal Sun Alliance, Midland Bank, Guinness Brewing and London Underground. He has presented the findings of his consulting at high level forums such as the American Academy of Management, British Academy of Management, the International Work Psychology Conference and the Australian Industrial and Organisational Psychology Conference.</p>
