Memorial Golf Outing A Success
Dear friend of the Masonic Angel Fund:

Saturday, October 18th saw another great success for York Rite's work on behalf
of the seven Masonic Angel Funds in the 21st Masonic District. Chris Whichard
(second in command at Sylvester Baxter Royal Arch Chapter and presiding Master
of Universal Lodge) and Don Haden (Past High Priest of SBRAC and Past Master of
UL) did themselves proud with the fourth annual John Hockman Memorial Golf
Outing.

Golf commenced at 12 noon under cool, cloudy skies. The golf tournament was held
again this year at the scenic Chequessett Yacht and Country Club in Wellfleet.
The Chequessett is one of the most stunningly scenic golf courses on Cape Cod
with breath-taking views of Cape Cod Bay from much of the course. The facility
works with us each year to provide golf at the lowest possible price so that
more of the proceeds can go to the Masonic Angel Foundation's matching grant
fund.

By 5:30 all were nestled in the warm fellowship of Bellamy's restaurant at the
Four Points Sheraton hotel in North Eastham. Food & Beverage Manager and Brother
Steve Golden and his staff provided a sumptuous Italian dinner buffet and
spirits to dispel the autumnal chills for which Cape Cod is so well known.
Brother Golden is consistently one of the strongest supporters of the Masonic
Angel Fund since its establishment some five years ago.

Awards were given to the players for various scores and for distinctive
achievements on the course. All awards were donated by local golf emporia.
Profits from this event are donated by Sylvester Baxter Royal Arch Chapter to
the Masonic Angel Foundation, Inc. for distribution as matching grants to the
seven Masonic Angel Funds in the 21st Masonic District.

Regards to all,
