Juror #9 Returns Verdict: Gulty of Adult Napping Music!

Not only has Francis Harris , aka Adultnapper, been consistently trying to allure clubbers allover from their regular day and nightime occupations by infiltrating them with consistent out put of quality minimal techno music - his new release "JUROR#9" is an even stronger attempt to seduce than anything before. With it´s unmistakable intense sound "JUROR#9" has to be an as strong temptation to let go to a sound as peter piper´s flute! And that´s not all, Minus´GAISER is contering the whole thing with a deadly remix that rectifies all apprehension that this record might cause danger. All in all , well enough to plead "DEFENDANT GUILTY"!

Nick Name For 2 Monster Tracks - Internasjonal 001 is Coming Up!

Another Fab New Label Signing is coming closer to it´s initial Release: INTERNASJONAL , the new Label of Oslo Wonderboy PRINS THOMAS and our very humble selves, Wordandsound, drops this coming November 26 with a fulminant first offshoot. New Yorks Nick Chacona (pictured at Cielo,Nyc) makes the Lamb lie Down on Broadway with an extremely good, almost too good to believe, first offering and this is no daft sales tactique here. This record did surprise us as its following neither the usual cliches. Eagly City maybe Fading to Gray Slowburning Discofied Trance and Mariachi an elusively haunting modern Acidic Bladerunner Vision but Folks Rest assured - Both Tracks are different and go way Deeper than much of these Days usual House Fare.We tested it for several spins both sides back and Forth and it still Thrills and Kills like the first Time!

Harmonies, Tensiun, Floor Appeal,Reduced to the Maximum - Its all Breezing Longievy and Talking "Have, Hold and Play with me".

A Redshaped Flower from Auckland!

Simon Flower is got to be our new man at the controls hailing from far away, New Zealand! Because a little isolation goes a long way he was one of the small group of people instrumental in starting and keeping the techno scene in Auckland City alive and kicking, from the early 90’s through till the present day - through promoting parties, DJing, producing and releasing records.„The Whisper Had It“ on Poker Flat begins with dark sounds until it takes the track right to the floor. Techy and percussive, the sub bass pushing things forward Increasing the tension until the end of the track until Redshape gloriusly take over. Redshape releasing tracks since 2006 on specialized labels like Styrax or Delsin, is taking the track to deepness at its best. His „Discodub“ -version is hypnotic and keeps that dance!-dance!-dance! fever. Perfect track for the floor at peak time! Mark August‘s remix rounds off this record in a fantastic minimal way, slightly reduced but spiced up with strange sounds.

Finish First - When Mood gets B Pitched!

With 'Belvedere' both finish Mood Music´s Sasse and B Pitch Control´s Kiki are looking good again!
Not only that the supersympathetic Sasse and Kiki where the first to
introduce words like "Turku" or even "Helsinki" to the world and
showed peopel another side of their beautiful northern country than
what you see through a glass of Vodka Finladia on ice - their music was
and still does come 'on the rocks'. Chilly but warm, edgy but well
round , clicking but bumpty and allways crisp! If you where a fan of
their haunting Deep techno Classic "Loosing Touch" but wher shying
away from the vocal part check Belvedere and Grand Cru and get infected
but tghis old scool bass heavy sound.Techno with soul they call it and
yes it does remind a bit on Eddi Flashing Folkes classic "Techno Soul"
sound indeed, but more straight forward maybe. Somewhat of a mix of
what Kiki produces for BPitch and the bass crunchin productions of
Sasse. Especially the masterful “Grand Cru” is influenced by early
Detroit house but rocks the floor from a different perspective, deep
but chuggin it transforms from Wild Pitch synthlines and quirky effect
to a bassheady House monster reminiscing of early Murk sound.Needs to
be played out loud and owned proud!

A PAN-O-RAMA on modern berlin - PAN POT ARE ON this week!

The release of their debut album marks yet another milestone for the group. Appropriately titled Pan-O-Rama,
the record—which has the honor of being the first artist album released
on mobilee—offers a 360-degree tour of techno at its most twisted,
balancing ominous atmospherics with an unusual lightness of touch, and
running classic machine music through silicon’s digital wringer.

They may name themselves after a piece of gear, but Pan-Pot’s music is ultimately about moving bodies, not knobs. Both live and as DJs, Pan-Pot
deliver on that promise with sets that rope together crisply minimal,
coolly restrained techno and hot and heavy house. Anyone who’s ever
played with an analog synthesizer knows that all those pots and dials
are there to be touched; Pan-Pot reaches out and touches right
back—with a love slap from the heart of the Berlin underground. Pan-Pot´s 12” Cut out of the Album “Charly”, is single of themonth 09/2007 in German Raveline.

After the impressive futuresque "Zeitgeist" by Raudive the first Co Joint of Steve Bug and Cle steps again aside the usual minimal routine. "Silicon Ballet" goes way further. It´s an highly interesting mixture of functional dancefloor thunder and
stripped down old-school influences that simply grows and grows since 2 weeks. Also make sure to Check out Steve´s Interview on the recent Slices DVD and his view on Quality in Music and most of all musical Reproduction techniques. Highly Inspiring!

At the Beatuful Picture on left you can see what professional
Photoshooting can do good to a natural born Berlin Rave Insider. With
Highgrade you can see what such person can do good to a label. Within 7
years Tom Clark has set Highgrade in Place as one of the leading german
Minimal / Techno House Labels. Slowly but steadily. Never hyped but
always in demand and constantly on the up. And besides their own
Classic Hits, one fine example has to be the much played "Service
Station 1" Album, Tom and Highgrade have consistently recognized new
Talent. If it was the early and still hammered James Flavour "Pornero"
(James is now one half of Dirt Crew) , Format B who´s Tracks "Slaps"
"Like a Techmachine" or "Bronson Road" have all been heavy in demand,
Daniel Dreier, Jens Bond, Sven Brede, or or or. They are all well known
now. Thanks to Highgrade and thanks to supersympathetic Tom. And
finally thanks to his many Nights on the Town propably!
