She joined the law firm in Bellevue after graduation and became a shareholder in 1999. Kristin practices in the areas of commercial and real eastate litigation. Kristin has always been active in community affairs, especially the arts, and served on the board of trustees for ACT Theatre for 12 years. She is currently on the Advisory Board for that organization. Kristin has also been active in bar activites and&nbsp;was on the state bar Board of Govenors from 2003-2006. Prior to consulting, Lauret worked at four different biopharmaceutical companies, including ICOS Corporation, Elan Pharmaceuticals, Genentech, and Syntex. Lauret’s worked for 10 years as a critical care nurse specialist in newborn and pediatric intensive care units before starting to work for biopharmaceutical companies. Lauret received a B.A. in psychology at the University of California at Berkeley, a BSN in nursing at San Diego State University. Lauret has three daughters, two of them recent graduates from the University at California and now working in Berkeley prior to pursuing their graduate education. Lauret became an avid enthusiast for the performing arts by her exposure to many artists associated with the work of her brother-in-law, Robert Friedman, who is an impresario in the world of dance, music, and drama. He has both his BA and MBA from the University of Puget Sound. Upon completion of his BA in ’73, he started his banking career where he has been in since. His banking experience includes all aspects of lending, primarily Business/ Commercial loans as well as being the contact person for his customers to meet their banking needs. Mike is married to Lynn and they have raised a son and daughter. Now they are getting additional pleasure from two granddaughters.  Mike has been very active in the community. In addition to being on  KPC Board, he has been President/Chair of a number of organizations including the Greater Kirkland Chamber, Kirkland Downtown, EKCCCC, Downtown Advisor Team/ Committee, and active on various city task forces, Kiwanis, youth soccer, and PTA’s. He is responsible for leading teams that develop and negotiate patent and technology licensing deals. Prior to joining Microsoft, Mike was Vice President, Licensing for Honeywell’s Corporate IP licensing team, located in Tempe, Arizona where he led intellectual property licensing for Honeywell aerospace businesses. Previously Dodi worked for 10 years at PACCAR, leaving in 2004 as their Director of Organizational Development. In that role, she was responsible for employee training and leadership development, executive education, performance management, and succession planning. Prior to moving to Seattle in 1993, she lived in San Diego, CA and worked in the retailing industry as a buyer and district manager and in Human Resources in the banking industry.</p><p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; margin-left: 0px; ">Dodi’s other non-profit and volunteer involvements include the King County Sexual Assault Resource Center (KCSARC), Eastside Domestic Violence Program, and the Legacy Leadership Institute on the Environment. After serving in the US Army as an officer in the Ordnance Corps he joined the Boeing Company where he worked for 38 years in as a Human Resources Executive. He retired in 1999.</p><p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; margin-left: 0px; ">Santos has been heavily involved in the Kirkland community for 30 years.&nbsp;He was elected to the Kirkland City Council in 1992, where he served for 12 years.&nbsp;He also received the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award.&nbsp;Currently, Santos picks up groceries from two stores weekly for the local food bank, serves on the Harborview Medical Center Board of Trustees and the Childhaven Advisory Council in Seattle.&nbsp;Serving on the KPC board is a continuation of his strong desire to be involved in the community and trying to make a difference.&nbsp;</p><h3 style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; "><span style="color: #993366;">Doreen Marchione</span></h3><p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><strong>Officer-at-Large</strong></p><p><span style="color: #993366;"></span><strong><em>Kirkland City Council Member • Former Executive Director, Hopelink</em></strong></p><p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; margin-left: 0px; ">Doreen Marchione was the President and CEO of Hopelink from1992 through 2006. She is known as being a risk-taker and visionary leader with expertise in expanding programs, leading organizations through transitions, and in managing complex entities. Doreen currently is the chair-elect of the Board of the Kirkland Performance Center. She is a member f the Washington State Transportation Improvement Board and is also on the Steering Committee of the Sound Families Initiative of the Gates Foundation. She has served on the boards of United Way of King County, Leadership Eastside, and Executive Alliance. Prior to joining Hopelink, Doreen served from 1984-1991 as the mayor of Redmond. She is a graduate of Seattle University, where she serves on the Leadership Council for the College of Arts and Science.</p><h3><span style="color: #993366;">Susan F. Raunig</span></h3><p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;"><strong>Officer-at-Large</strong></p><p><em><strong>Community Leader</strong></em></p><p>Susan Raunig moved to Seattle from Montana shortly after college graduation and has acquired 20 years of business management experience with an emphasis in Human Resources, Business Operations and Office Administration.  After a 15-year tenure at Microsoft Corporation, she devotes her time to community service as a volunteer and board member and is a member of the Washington Women’s Foundation.  She is passionate about and is an advocate for organizations supporting the development of young girls, breast cancer research and the arts.  She recently completed a 4-year board term at Powerful Voices, a Seattle-based organization with a vision for all girls to grow into strong women.  Susan has a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from City University and a BS in Business Management with a minor in Marketing from Montana State University.  Outside interests include golf, travel, food, wine and the performing arts. Earlier in his career, he was Deputy Program Manager for the 757-300 program where he led the development of Boeing’s largest single-aisle airplane.  He has also held a variety of management responsibilities in 747, 767 and 777 airplane programs.  He is a graduate of Central Washington University and the Columbia University Senior Executive Program. Kevin strongly believes that Kirkland can play a unique and valuable role in promoting and hosting arts and cultural events for the entire Eastside and greater Seattle, and that the Kirkland Performance Center is at the center of that role.   Professionally, Kevin is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington School of Law, and a Founding Director of MetaJure, Inc., a legal technology start-up.   Previously, Kevin was Deputy General Counsel within the Microsoft Legal and Corporate Affairs Department, and a practicing attorney at Preston Gates &amp; Ellis (now K&amp;L Gates) in Seattle.  Kevin is married to Ann McFadden Harrang, a teacher at Holy Family School, in Kirkland, and they have two children and a collie.  If the collie has run away from home again, Kevin would appreciate a call.</span></strong></strong></p><h4><span style="color: #993366; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; ">Kevin Hughes<br /></span><strong><em>Government Relations, Hughes and Associates</em></strong></h4><p>Originally from Philadelphia, Kevin Hughes has lived in Seattle for the past 30 years.  He began his career as an actor at the Hedgerow Theatre in Pennsylvania and then worked in management at A Contemporary Theatre and the Empty Space Theatre in Seattle.  He served as Executive Director of the Washington State Arts Alliance from 1986 to 1990 where he organized a grassroots political effort for more than 60 arts organizations.  He worked for 7 years at Pacific Science Center representing the institution in government affairs and overseeing a major gifts campaign, raising more than $40 million for capital and operations.  Since 1998, through his firm Hughes and Associates, he has represented businesses, government jurisdictions, grassroots efforts and nonprofit organizations at the state, county, city and federal levels.  He is a past member of the Housing Finance Commission and the Seattle Arts Commission. Since moving to the Seattle area, she has built a successful career in Engineering, supported multiple non-profits in the area of performing arts, specially traditional arts from the Indian sub-continent, and has recently started a second career as a singer of Indian classical and folk-inspired music.</span></p><p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 20px; margin-left: 0px; ">Srivani served on the board of Pratidhwani (a local artist collective) in 2005, helped kick-start the first annual festival of South Asian Arts, “Utsav” in 2006 and was founding editor of Ragavani Journal of Indian music and dance (a Ragamala initiative) in 2007. Srivani now enjoys a busy and growing career as a performer and teacher. She has released two albums of Indian music, recorded theme vocals for films, and currently serves as artist-in-residence at Jack Straw Productions, Seattle. Connecting communities through art continues to be a goal and a passion. As a member of the board of KPC and as a performer, she strives to realize this goal.</p><h3><span style="color: #993366;">Ben Lee</span></h3><p><span style="color: #993366;"><strong><em><span style="color: #333333;">Senior Project Manager of Commercial Aviation Services, The Boeing Company</span></em></strong></span></p><p><img height="157" width="141" src="/sites/default/files/head_shot2.jpg" /></p><p>Ben Lee is the senior project manager of Commercial Aviation Services, where he has responsibilities in proposal management, policies related to the new airplane programs (787 and 747-8), and a variety of special projects. He has held positions in both the commercial side and the defense side of the Boeing Company. He is a graduate of Oregon Institute of Technology (BS) and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (MS).</p><p>Originally from Hong Kong, he has lived in Seattle for the past 16 years. He is planning to draw on the best of both cultures in his career and community service. He is a member of the Boeing Association of Asian Pacific Americans Group, member of Toastmasters Club International, and volunteer at ArtsFund for the past 7 years. He has also served as a Junior Achievement consultant at a local high school. He is serving as the 2011 Associate Board Chair for the ArtsFund Associate Program, leading 100+ volunteers to raise funds and awareness for arts groups in King and Pierce County. Outside of work, he enjoys photography, cooking, attending arts events, and spending time with his friends and family. He is also active in competitive sports including golf, volleyball, and marathons.</p><h3><span style="color: #993366;">David Mangone</span></h3><p><strong><em>Partner, Wattsmedia</em></strong></p><p>David and his partners at Wattsmedia develop, design, and produce integrated digital media,  corporate videos, sales and marketing presentations, business meetings, network commercials, branded entertainment, websites, international road shows, convention displays and visitor centers.  His work includes major projects for international Fortune 100 companies, ad agencies and PR firms, as well as small projects for non profits and community service organizations.</p><p>David graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California and began his career as Director of Media Communications at Carnation Company, which was ultimately acquired by Nestle.  He then subsequently founded a production company based in Santa Monica, CA and led it for over 20 years before taking a sabbatical to earn an MBA at Pepperdine University. He and his wife Linda moved to the Pacific Northwest from Los Angeles in 2005 and settled on Kirkland as their new home. Throughout her school years in Montana and even into college, she performed and studied theatre.  During college, she volunteered as a high school drama coach and assistant director for youth productions.  Beth first came to the Pacific Northwest to attend law school at Willamette University in Oregon.  After law school, she clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and then moved to Seattle to litigate product-liability cases at the firm of Perkins Coie.  At Perkins Coie, Beth represented manufacturers, primarily in litigation arising from commercial and military aviation accidents, and she managed premises liability litigation for companies throughout the country.  Beth is dedicated to providing pro bono legal services, including volunteer work for the King County CASA program, the King County Bar Association’s Housing Justice Project, and Volunteer Attorneys for Persons with HIV/AIDS.  Beth’s pro bono work led her to accept a full-time position with the Housing Justice Project, thanks to a grant provided by the Seattle Foundation, where she supervised volunteer legal aid clinics providing services to low-income tenants facing eviction.  She also has extensive experience developing and teaching litigation skills training, mentoring law students and junior attorneys, and advising clients on risk management and litigation strategy techniques.
