Peer-to-Peer Computing in Heterogeneous Environment
Dr. Piyush Maheshwari, University of New South Wales
Date & Time: April 20, 2004 16:00
Venue: Seminar Hall
The objective of our research at the University of New South Wales is to develop a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) infrastructure and a set of programming tools and application programming interfaces known as the P2P Middleware. The central idea of the design is to incorporate Web Services and message queuing technologies to build a highly reliable, robust, and high performance P2P solution that provides for synchronous and asynchronous exchange of data and RPC interactions amongst peers. In our prelimnary research, we have shown that this approach can greatly simplify peer-to-peer application development and enable loosely coupled, reliable interactions amongst peers in heterogeneous environment
