Prof. Raju Pandey, Dept. of Computer Science, University of California at Davis
Date & Time: August 6, 2010 11:30
Venue: Conference Room, 01st floor, ā€˜Cā€™ Block, Kanwal Rekhi Bldg.
Wireless sensor networks enable a revolutionary communication and computing infrastructure that can be used to build a wide variety of novel real-world applications. In this talk, I will discuss the technical and commercial challenges in building a robust and scalable Wireless Sensor Network system. I will also describe the system and networking solutions that we developed at UC Davis and at SynapSense to address these challenges.
Speaker Profile:
Dr. Raju Pandey is an Associate Professor in the Computer Science department. He received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin. Professor Pandey is also one of the founder and C.T.O. of a technology startup company, SynapSense. SynapSense is building novel commercial applications that utilize low power low cost mesh networks as the core communication infrastructure for data collection, analysis and control.
