We are at the threshold of significant changes in the technology industry. Cloud computing has become mainstream and more and more information is getting consumed on mobile devices. New technologies are providing better resource utilization and are significantly reducing costs of running IT operations. These changes are expected to have far reaching impact on the industry. In this presentation, Dr. Anand Deshpande will discuss the implications of these technology shifts on enterprise software scenario and correlate these shifts to possible implications on the IT industry job market in India.
Speaker Profile:
Dr. Anand Deshpande has a ringside view of changing technology markets. He tracks technology and is an active salesman for Persistent Systems, a Company that he founded in 1990. He regularly interacts with senior executives of Persistent's customers which include more than 300 leading software companies. Dr. Deshpande has a B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kharagpur where he is a Distinguished Alumni and has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indiana University where he has won the Career Achievement Award of the School of Informatics. Dr. Deshpande is the Past President of ACM India, EC Member for NASSCOM, CSI Fellow and a Trustee of the Computer History Museum in Mountain View.
