On Recognition of Group of Human Beings in Images with Navigation Strategies

Recognizing human beings is a crucial task in Vision as it has lot of applications from Surveillance to Automobiles. To begin with, the classical problem of graph matching will be dealt with posture matching of Bharathanatyam postures. To deal with real images, two techniques Chamfering and Hausdorff with distance transformations will be discussed.How occlusions, size variations and missed feature points are handled, is explained. Some comments on the implementation on Cray T3E Supercomputer are also made. At the end, three navigation strategies for robots in known and unknown environments are discussed
