Weisi will talk broadly about a number of his research projects in: energy efficient wireless networks, nano-molecule communications, wireless traffic sensing, and the new Warwick Institute for Science of Cities.
Speaker Profile:
Weisi graduated from the University of Cambridge with MEng, MA, PhD (2011) degrees. He is currently the joint-coordinator of the Cities research theme at Engineering and holds exchange/visiting positions at the CUSP, and the NYU. Weisi has published over 40 papers and is the winner of University of Sheffield academic award (2012). He has served on committees for flagship IEEE conferences and has been interviewed by BBC radio programs. During the last decade, Weisi has spent over 2 years working in industry (T-Mobile International 2005-07), including knowledge transfer with Mobile VCE partners: NEC, Fujitsu and Vodafone (2012).
