Big data and machine learning are integral parts of modern society. Today, the abundance data collection, relatively inexpensive storage technology and automated machine learning algorithms facilitate value extraction from Big data with little human intervention. Computational advertising is one domain which is key driver to power monetization for software industry in the 21st century. In this workshop, we will introduce the audience to the basics of computational advertising (such as Information Retrieval and Matching, Document Relevance and Ranking, Auction Mechanisms etc.) with engaging sessions to compare both user and advertiser experience using multiple commercially available search engines. Talk 1: 10:00 hrs. to 12:00 hrs. Talk 2: 14:00 hrs. to 16:00 hrs.
