The version released by MS that runs directly on Linux is rather flaky (it's basically Edge for Linux hardwired to show teams.microsoft.com), hence the need to run the native Windoze version.

The text panel update bugs in the Linux version of MSTeams, or the browser version running inside a browser on Linux, have since gone away and MSTeams is usable in either mode.
