About me

Presently studying 2nd year in Computer Science and Engineering Department in the Indian Institute of Technology (Bombay).

Firstly let me tell you that IIT is the best place one can be.Great atmosphere(literally speaking too),great students,great profs,great facilities.
Above all a cool place(again literally and metaphorically).

I studied in Fatima High School(Vidyavihar) till 10th std. and got into one of the best colleges in the city,Swami Vivekananda(Chembur).
where i did my 11th and 12th.Gave Jee and the day it got over decided not to think about it till the results.
Most tense period was getting Jee result the day immediately after 12th results.I consider myself lucky to be here when i had almost decided to give Jee again.

Coming to interests , I have several of them , primarily music and sports.i like racquet games like TT,badminton,tennis(which at one point of time grew on me so much that i began learning it at a nearby Gymkana).I play football.Have represented my school since 5th standard.By the large heartedness of my seniors here, i continue to represent my hostel(H7) in the inter-hostel football event.

Music is something that comes naturally to me.(well a person need not be good at all things coming naturally to him).I have always been interested in music and percussion.I can understand music fairly well and that comes from my mom who is a wonderful and very melodious singer.My brother learnt Carnatic music for 3-4 years.My dad had learnt tabla for 2-3 years after he got employed.So my first lessons in  tabla were given at home.
Formally began learning it from 9th standard and continue to do so. Ustad Zakir Hussain is my favourite tabla player
(he's GOD!!  u just cant deny that!). Among singers,towards the classical side ,i like Ustad Rashid Khan.Hariharan is at the top of my favourite's list of singers for his voice and much more importantly his ability to just play with the notes , just go everywhere with the notes and yet maintain the tune and rhythm.(its needless to say why HAZIR is my prized posession !)I like deep and serious Ragas .

One thing that u may find interesting is that i like Micheal Jackson,Ace of Base,Seal(kiss from a rose),George Micheal(careless whisper),KennyG & above all Metallica too!!

Other interests:reading mystery stories,word games, playing FIFA,roadrash.

I think thats a lot about me and my interests.
