Research Focus
My doctoral research explores network level disruptions caused by any adversary to curb free communication over the internet โ knowing about how these disruptions work and how can we tackle it. Other peculiarities like placement of such disruptive systems, longitudinal effect on communication and procotol level details which realise these disruptions are of my interest too.
๐ซInternet Disruption
How states and network adversaries block, throttle, or degrade traffic to curb free communication and the mechanisms behind these interventions.
๐VoIP & Real-Time Blocking
Studying how voice and real-time communication is disrupted across networks which was the focus of my work on global VoIP blocking.
๐กNetwork Measurement
Large-scale and longitudinal scanning to observe disruptions in the wild, where blocking systems sit and how their behaviour changes over time.
๐ก๏ธTackling & Resilience
Designing and evaluating safeguards that keep communication reachable when adversaries try to disrupt it.
