There are several buses which ply from Bangalore to Mysore. They come with an added advantage of not having fixed timings.

The normal KSRTC buses take a longer time(3.5-4hrs)  to reach Mysore since they stop at several places. But there are many other semi-luxury and luxury buses.

Semi-Luxury buses (either with A/C or with reclining chairs) would include Sheetal buses, Rajahamsa etc. However the luxury buses are called the Airavatha( Volvo buses) and are the fastest buses.
