Live documents

A document is said to be live only if that document will be requested in future. It is only necessary that the cache retains live documents to achieve the maximum hit rate. Live documents are a small fraction of the total. It is probably more appropriate to consider dead those documents which have not been requested for more than some reasonably large time (e.g.1-2 weeks).
