The goal of the panel is to take a broad view at the relation between AI techniques (especially machine learning including deep neural networks) and performance engineering tasks. Specifically, the panelists will discuss how AI techniques can be used to enhance the performance engineering tasks such as modeling, estimation, and optimization of complex systems. At the same time, we are looking at how performance techniques can be used to analyze and improve AI systems. The panel has an open fishbowl format, that is attendees can join the panel.
