What is Computer Graphics?

Computer graphics is the study of methods and techniques to visually synthesize virtual worlds. These techniques span a diverse range of topics from art, mathematics, applied physics and computer science. CG involves translating these methods into software and/or hardware, to create, control and manipulate pictorial data on the computer.
