The Indian Conference on Computer Vision, Graphics and Image processing (ICVGIP)  is a biennial conference that has been organized in India since 1995 by leading academic institutions and research laboratories. The Indian Unit for Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence (IUPRAI), which is the Indian chapter of the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR), is the coordinating association for the conference.

Over the years, ICVGIP has grown into an international event with paper submissions and active participation from not only the Asian region but also from around the world.  Previous ICVGIPs were  held at  Delhi (1998), Bangalore (2000), Ahmedabad (2002),  Kolkata (2004), Madurai (2006), and Bhubaneswar (2008).

The Seventh edition of this highly successful series will be held at Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India from Dec. 12-15, 2010. The objective of this conference is to serve as a platform to bring together researchers to present original ideas and solutions, discuss new problems, and share information on state-of-the-art technologies.
