A. INTRODUCTION:
-------------
The 1st PTA executive committee meeting with the new PTA board in
2006 was held in the Principal's chamber on Dec 11, 2006. It commenced
at 1:45 pm and ended at 3:15PM. The new committee thanked the
outgoing parent members (Shyama Iyer and Alok Goyal).
B. DECISION ITEMS:
-----------------
1. For the future, "Open Day" to be held on Saturdays to enable working
parents to attend. As an experimental measure, primary school
students will be let off and will not be present when the parents
meet the teacher. This reduces chaos and gives a chance to discuss
sensitive information about the child without other children
listening in. This does not apply to secondary school students.
2. A sub-committee of class parents was formed comprising of the parent
members of the PTA Exec Council, the list of parents who had
volunteered earlier, and thus given by VMC Chairman, as well as a set
of parents that the Principal will suggest (primarily parents living
outside the IIT campus)
3. Class parents meeting will be held on the 4th Saturday of every
month. The last period will be suitably modified to facilitate this.

Maths to 11th and 12th standard students till the school recruits a
substitute. (see point 6 above).
3. Principal and Secretary agreed to hold the first class parent meeting
on December 22nd in the school premises between 11.30A - 12.00 noon.

mailing list as a place to vocalize genuine concerns.
