SHIVAM SINGH

ABOUT

I am currently a first-year M.S. by Research student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay. My academic interests lie in Computer Architecture and Operating Systems, with a particular focus on microarchitectural security. I am presently working on cache occupancy attacks in Trust Lab, under the guidance of Prof. Sayandeep Saha and Prof. Biswabandan Panda.

Outside of academics, I enjoy engaging in swimming, basketball, and have a strong passion for esports.

RESEARCH INTEREST

My research interests lie at the intersection of Computer Architecture and Operating Systems, with a current focus on microarchitectural side-channel attacks, specifically cache occupancy attacks. I am interested in exploring the security implications of hardware-software interactions, cache hierarchy behavior, and performance-security trade-offs in modern computing systems. I am also keen on investigating hardware-level vulnerabilities and developing efficient mitigation strategies that can be integrated into real-world systems.
