One of the questions frequently asked in the Knot Theory is that, "Given two Knots how do you tell whether the two Knots are the same or different". To answer this question, there are some techniques used which help distinguishing between the Knots. The most interesting part of this theory is that there could many more types of Knots that are not known and if these same techniques could be used to help tell those Knots apart. The other question that rises is that, "Whether the given Knot, is a Knot or is it an Unknot (that can be stretched into a circle)".
