Abstract

    This report focuses on designing of water resource documentation and analysis framework to enable domestic water resource planning for village. Government level water resource documentation and water resource infrastructure schemes for Karjat block were studied for its scope and legitimacy. Based on these observations it was decided to build water resource documentation framework. Field level investigation was carried out in a gram-panchayat. Yield test was carried out at two different locations to identify well capacity. Electrical resistivity test was carried out to find out water table level in Khandas  village. A PRA  tool was used to find out trend line of water resources in village and domestic water usage pattern.

    Based on experience of experience of field level investigation analysis at this gram-panchayat a generalized document to gather water resource data and a framework to analyze this data is articulated.
