Here we keep the archives of contributions and earlier versions of Computer Masti textbook material.
i Slides on Computer Science in Schools The work of defining the Computer Science syllabus for SSRVM began in August 2006. These slides were discussed with the SSRVM Trustees and others, as the first step towards understanding our requirements.
ii Computer Science Syllabus for Schools A first draft of the Syllabus was completed in March 2007. This was then extensively reviewed by various experts. This document is currently being modified as per the review comments and an updated version will be available in 2008.

1 Computer Science Teaching Material for Std I A first draft of the teaching material for Std I, based on the above syllabus. This document was reviewed, modified and converted into book form. The book Computer Masti - Book I. was released online in June 2008. The lessons and activities in this book are based on freely available software - Ubuntu.
2 Computer Science Teaching Material for Std II A first draft of the teaching material for Std II, based on the above syllabus. This document was reviewed, modified and converted into book form. The book Computer Masti - Book II. was released online in November 2008. The lessons and activities in this book are based on freely available software - Ubuntu.
3 Computer Science Teaching Material for Std III A first draft of the teaching material for Std III, based on the above syllabus. This document is currently being reviewed, modified and converted into book form. The book will become available in 2009.
4 Computer Science Teaching Material for Std IV This document is currently being reviewed, modified and converted into book form. The book will become available in 2009.
5 -In progress- We are looking for people with some CS background or programming experience, to participate in creating the teaching material for Std V upwards.

1 Download Ubuntu Ubuntu is a free operating system based on Linux. The activities in the above book/teaching material are based on Ubuntu. Read more about Ubuntu. Ubuntu is an African word meaning 'Humanity to others', or 'I am what I am because of who we all are'.
2 Install Ubuntu Here are some guidelines to Install Ubuntu on your computer after you have downloaded it. We will soon be creating a video on how to install Ubuntu. Till then, see this Video.
3 Project OSCAR Project OSCAR (Open Source Courseware Animations Repository) is a repository of interactive animations for teaching various concepts. The current goal is to develop animations for Classes VIII, IX and X.
