DRAWING:
I have learnt drawing since I was 7 years old. I can use water colors, pastel, oil paint, charcoal, glass paint,
emboss and pencils. I have formally learnt drawing. I have several of my paintings framed and hung in my home.
My favourite mediums include oil paint, charcoal and pencils.
GUITAR:
I have been learning the guitar for two years now. I had been unable to practice much during my JEE days but
I have enough time now to play.
VIOLIN:
I started learning the violin a couple of months ago, when I had signed up for NSO Violin. A violin is a relatively
difficult instrument to play, because of how one has to hold it and the bow. I started learning it because I loved
the way it sounds.
READING:
I love to read novels. Some of my favourites include The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Contact and Dune. I also love to read
books on astronomy. Some of my favourites include The Theory of Everything, A Brief History of Time, The Universe in
a Nutshell, Cosmos, Pale Blue Dot and the George Series.
CHESS:
I have been a Chess enthusiast since I was 5 years old. I had lost touch of this hobby, however I rekindled my love
for the gave while in IIT Bombay. Chess is an abstract strategy game and involves no hidden information.
It is played on a square chessboard with 64 squares arranged in an eight-by-eight grid. At the start, each player (one controlling the white pieces,
the other controlling the black pieces) controls sixteen pieces: one king, one queen, two rooks, two bishops, two knights, and eight pawns.
The object of the game is to checkmate the opponent's king, whereby the king is under immediate attack (in "check") and there is no way for it to escape.
There are also several ways a game can end in a draw.
