Poetry

Many moons ago, I wrote a poem...

The Misleading Coin

All the ways they seem so wrong
But winds won't let you wait for long
so you toss a coin and sail along
you choose a path you don't belong

You sail so swift you sail so fast
In moments future waters - past
The sun shines luck upon the mast
the destination’s visible now at last

But wait it seems an alien land
A soulless patch you cannot stand
But this ship won't stop it wouldn't stand
So you do something you never planned

You dive into the shallow deep
Consequences then begin to seep
The waters induce a forceful sleep
A final rest you hope to reap

And then they find and fish you out
'cos the ship won't sail with your without
"Captain, we muss move!"- they shout
You look around, perplexed you doubt

All the ways they seem so wrong
But the waves won't let you wait for long
So you toss a coin and sail along
And choose a path you may not belong
