Executing a Fortran Program
- Goto the directory ta from ur home directory
$ cd ta
- Make a directory called fortran, to compile and run fortran programs here!
$ mkdir fortran
- Goto the directory fortran
$ cd fortran
- Copy the fortran program , by using the cp command
$ cp ~uma/fortran/series.f90 .
- Find whether the file series.f90 is present in current directory?
$ ls
- Find what is there in the program ?
$ more series.f90
- The compiler to compile this program is f90 Compile the program.
$ f90 series.f90
- Find the executable file a.out created by using ls
$ ls
- Now execute the program
$ ./a.out
- Take a look at the various options of f90 by just typing f90 on command prompt and try these various options!!
