Greetings! I am a fourth-year Computer Science student at IIT Bombay. My research interests include Time Domain Astrophysics, Gravitational Waves, and Computational Astrophysics.

I am interested in writing software and maintaining critital infrastructure in these fields, and learning about the science along the way.

I have been involved in research projects since my second year at IIT Bombay. They have been in the fields of Observational Astronomy, High-Energy Astrophysics, Quantum Computing, Graph Algorithms, Computational Geometry, Computer Architecture, Artifical Intelligence and Machine Learning, Compilers, and Image Processing.

Education

I was born and brought up in Delhi, and did my school education there, in Bal Bharati Public School Dwarka. Currently I'm in the fourth year of the B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering Department at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

Hobbies

Some of my hobbies are cooking, watching anime, gaming, running, trekking, and cycling. I have done 10k runs in Mumbai multiple times, done a 4-day trek in the Himalayas, and have cycled around Sylt Island (60 km loop) twice in the last two years.

Projects

There are a lot of projects I have worked on over the years. Here are a few I want to highlight:

GRB Localization using Triangulation

I developed software for localizing GRBs with a network of space telescopes which includes Indian Missions like the proposed Daksha Mission, and NASA Missions like Fermi, and the proposed MOONBEAM Mission.

EMGW follow-up using GROWTH-India Telescope

I contributed to the transient detection pipeline of the GROWTH-India Telescope - India's first fully robotic optical telescope, created a server for storing the transients, and designed a dashboard for real-time monitoring of vital processes.

Daksha Science Simulator

I co-developed a data simulator for the Daksha mision to study the feasibility of possible advanced science cases by simulating various X-ray and Gamma-ray sources like GRBs, pulsars, and persistent sources with different spectral and temporal profiles, taking into account the cosmic X-ray background, the satellite orientation, position, etc.
