  1. Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Award, 2018. The Bhatnagar award is widely regarded as the topmost award for science and technology in India.
  2. Fellow, Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) 2018.
  3. National Academy of Sciences in India-Reliance Industries Platinum Jubilee award 2016 for application-oriented innovations in physical sciences, from the National Academy of Science in India, awarded to two persons from the country below the age of 50.
  4. Swarnajayanti Fellowship award from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India for the year 2013 - India's highest scientific award below the age of 40. The only scientist to be awarded in the Engineering Sciences category.
  5. P.K. Patwardhan Award for Technology Development, IIT Bombay, Sept 2013.
  6. Hari Om Prerit Vikram Sarabhai Research Award (VSRA): National Award from the Department of Space, Physical Research Laboratory 2012.
  7. IBM Faculty Award 2012 for research in Cloud Computing and Data Centers.
  8. Department of Atomic Energy - Science Research Council's Outstanding Research Investigator Award, 2010 (National Award). The award comprises of 1 crore grant (USD220K) for research, an INR20,000 per month fellowship for 5-years.
  9. Institute Chair Associate Professorship, a monthly stipend of INR15000 and contingency towards research and travel for 3 years 2012-2015. The only Associate Professor at IIT Bombay to get this chair professorship.
  10. James R Isaac Chair in Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay, a monthly stipend of INR 10000 and contingency funds towards research and travel for 3 years, 2009-2012. The only assistant professor at IIT Bombay to get this chair professorship.
  11. Indian National Academy of Engineers (INAE), Young Engineer Award 2010. Selected amongst the top 10 engineers below 35 in the country.
