Joining Mailing Lists at CSE@IITB

CSE@IITB Mailing Lists are hosted on the mailman server at:
miller.cse.iitb.ac.in (10.129.3.1)

The list of all the mailing lists can be found at:
http://miller.cse.iitb.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/

  1. To join a particular mailing list, say cs675 _@_ cse.iitb.ac.in, go to the page of the corresponding mailing list by clickling on its name in the above mentioned list.
  2. On the list page enter your email id and password (optional). If you do not enter a password, a randomly generated password will be emailed to you.
  3. You will get a confirmation email at the email id you entered. Follow instructions in the email to confirm you subscription.
  4. To subsequently post a message to the list, you have to use the id you used to subscribe to the list.
  5. Remember if you select Digest Mode of message delivery then you will get messages from the list only once a day. This is generally not a good idea for course mailing lists where urgent announcements are being made.
