Hands-On Industry Tutorial
Introduction to Object Recognition Using MATLAB
Abstract: Object recognition is enabling innovative systems such as self-driving cars, content-based image retrieval, and autonomous robots. Developing such modern computer vision systems often involves large amounts of data and can be a time-consuming and costly undertaking, with a significant proportion of the effort invested in implementation and verification. In this hands-on workshop, we explore new capabilities of MATLAB that can help you to handle large simulations, process large datasets, and rapidly implement your algorithms on embedded systems. Hands-on exercises include techniques for:
- Handling large datasets of images
- Image pre-processing and feature extraction
- Classification using classical machine learning techniques such as SVM
- MATLAB-to-C code generation
Requirement for Workshop:
- Participants are requested to bring their own laptop
- MATLAB R2016b trial license will be provided to registered participants via email before the workshop for download and installation
- System requirements : https://in.mathworks.com/support/sysreq/current_release/
