Research Statement
I am an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. My research interest lies in the area of Data Management and Fairness. In addition, I am interested in algorithmic and conceptual problems in computational geometry, graph algorithms, and metric space, with the goal to design efficient algorithms.
I completed my PhD from University of Texas at Arlington under the guidance of Dr Gautam Das. My goal is to build efficient systems that provide fair and unbiased results while handling large-scale datasets.
Research Areas
Data Management
Investigating efficient algorithms for managing large scale data.
Fairness
Exploring fairness-aware algorithms and data selection.
Computational Geometry
Designing efficient algorithms for geometric and graph problems.
Current Projects
Metric Space query
Investigating ways to reduce expensive API calls in metric spaces while not spending too much local computation resources (time and space).
Research Impact
My research aims to provide practical solutions for deep-learning based cardinality estimation, fairness in data selection, and optimization in metric spaces.
