I was ranked 5th among half a million candidates in the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) 2010 and then topped among a million in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) the same year.

At the international level, I have had the privilege of representing India twice - firstly in Japan at the Asian Science Camp 2009 which was attended by 200 students and 10 leading scientists (including 7 Nobel laureates) from all over the continent, and then at the International Physics Olympiad in Croatia, where I won a silver medal, standing 41st in the world.

I shall be joining the MS program in CS at CMU, Fall 2014. The Statement of Purpose I wrote for the application can be found here.
