Movies - TV - Music

Movies, TV shows and music. Three things that I literally can't live without. Over the years, I've seen a large number of movies and a plethora of TV shows. In this page, I'll just go over a few of them and give brief descriptions. Hopefully, at a later stage, I'll be able to add in some more content about the kind of music that I listen to.

Currently Watching:
The Boys
The Boys
This Amazon series is set in a world where there are superheroes. However, these heros aren't your typical superheroes, they work for the powerful Vought Corporation and consider popularity ratings and material gain more important than saving lives. They are also arrogant, disillusioned and generally unpleasant. The worst of these are 'The Seven', the most powerful heroes who are heavily marketed by Vought. Working to expose them is a group known as 'The Boys', led by Billy Butcher who is convinced that leader of the heroes, Homelander, was responsible for the disappearance of his wife. The show opens up one's mind to a reality where heros, the people we expect to be all righteous and noble, commit horrific acts. The show grabs your attention from the very first episode. I binged a whole season in a single day (when I should've been finishing this website) because of just how interesting it was.

Completed:
Breaking Bad
Breaking Bad
Set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Breaking Bad follows Walter White, a modest high school chemistry teacher who transforms into a ruthless drug kingpin in the local meth trade, driven to financially provide for his family after being diagnosed with incurable lung cancer. Initially making only small batches of meth with his former student Jesse Pinkman in a mobile meth lab, Walter and Jesse eventually expand to make larger batches of a special blue meth that is incredibly pure and creates high demand. Because of his drug-related activities, Walter eventually finds himself at odds with his family, the DEA, local gangs, and the Mexican drug cartel, putting him and his family's lives at risk. Through the course of the show, Walter transforms into "Heisenberg" (his street-name) and loses control of his family, his drug operation and his life.

Better Call Saul
Better Call Saul
A prequel to Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul follows the transformation of Jimmy McGill, a former con artist who is trying to become a respectable lawyer, into the personality of the flamboyant criminal lawyer Saul Goodman (a play on the phrase "It's all good, man!"), over the six-year period prior to the events of Breaking Bad. The show starts off slow, but reaches a point where every episode has the viewer sitting on the edge of their seats. The show dives deeper into the history of the characters from Breaking Bad and gives us valuable insights into their lives.

Ozark
Ozark
After his business partner cheats a dangerous client (a member of the Navaro drug cartel), financial advisor Marty Byrd must devise a radical plan to save the lives of himself and his family. He drags his family from Chicago to the Missouri Ozarks, where he must secretly launder $500 million in 5 years to keep his boss happy. This show is definitely a must watch for anyone who likes dark and crime-filled action.
