Some of you may be aware of the recent disturbances in Ahmedabad, the venue of the conference, and may be worried about your safety and security. Fortunately the situation is fast returning to normal and no further disturbances are known to be happening lately. We expect the city to be very peaceful at the time of the conference. Please note that the conference venue is located in a sprawling yet highly secured SAC campus (an organization under the Department of Space, Govt. of India). Also the road to the airport bypasses the old city where most of the disturbances took place. Hence there is absolutely no reason for concern at this beloved city of Gandhi. However, in the unfortunate event of the situation flaring up again, we have made contingency plans of shifting the venue to Hyderabad. So, please go ahead and plan your visit now and expect the very best hospitality from SAC, Ahmedabad.
