Oral presentation guidelines

On the day of your presentation, you are advised to report to your Session Chair well in advance. Please make sure that your presentation is loaded before hand. If you wish to use your own laptop, you are required to test it with our audio-visual system before the session begins.

The time allotted for each oral paper is 20 minutes with approximately 16 minutes reserved for presentation and the rest for Q & A. Prepare your slides accordingly.

Poster presentation guidelines

As indicated in the technical program, prior to the actual poster session, there will be a spotlight presentation for each poster paper scheduled for that day. Each poster presenter will get 60 seconds to summarize his/her work in ONE slide. This will enable the delegates to have prior information about each work before proceeding to the posters. The idea is to render interactions during poster session more efficient. To have maximum impact, your slide should be well-organized.

The spotlight presentation slide should provide an overall idea about your work. It can typically contain a few statements on the most salient features of your work, only the most relevant math necessary to highlight your approach, and some results. Please take care not to make the slide either too cluttered or too bland. You should plan your 60 second description in-tune with the slide content.

Please upload your spotlight presentation slide in pdf format at the CMT submission portal, before November 30, 2010, failing which, you will not be able to participate in the spotlight teaser. We will prepare a presentation containing the uploaded slides. Note that you do not have access to control this presentation during the spotlight session. The 60 seconds limit is strict, after which the slides will be advanced. Please report to your poster Session Chair well before the session begins to ensure a seamless spotlight session.

For the poster session, the dimensions of  the poster should be 33.1 inches in width and 46.8 inches in height (also referred to as A0 portrait format). We will provide poster boards and pins. Your posters should be in place well before you arrive for the spotlight presentation.
