Doctoral Symposium
Call for Abstracts for ICVGIP Doctoral Symposium
The ICVGIP Doctoral Symposium is meant for PhD students at an advanced stage working in all areas relevant to ICVGIP to provide an opportunity to showcase their thesis work and interact with experts in the field about their thesis work.
The Doctoral Symposium will be a poster session during the main conference. Note that the presented work at the doctoral symposium have to be original (could be `work- in-progress'). Apart from the program committee review, these poster presentations would present the doctoral students with an opportunity of detailed discussions with the conference attendees and obtain feedback on their thesis work. The program committee also encourages the doctoral students to have live and/or interactive demonstrations as part of their presentations.
Each Ph.D. student, who wish to participate in the symposium should submit an extended abstract (at maximum 2 pages in two column IEEE format) to the Doctoral Symposium Program Committee by email (docsymp2014@mile.ee.iisc.ernet.in) before the end of deadline. The extended abstract should clearly describe the main motivation and results with adequate details to allow the program committee to comprehend the potential contribution(s) of the work. All collated accepted abstracts will be available on the ICVGIP website. This doctoral symposium is meant for current Ph.D. students, i.e. they should be bonafide Ph.D. students during the symposium.
