Taxi and Auto

Mumbai taxis are mostly of two types: the yellow-black normal taxis and costlier grey-white A/C taxis. Private taxis are also available, it is best to negotiate charges before the start of the journey. Surcharges above normal fare have to be paid (50% - 100%) for travel between midnight and 6am for taxis as well as autos. Use of pre-paid services are recommended from Airports and stations where they are available.
