What about my accommodation?

We will be providing accommodation to the participants from 3rd - 5th March. We will also take care of dinner, breakfast, lunch, etc. People registered under general category and faculty would be provided accommodation in Guest House, IIT Bombay, and students would be provided accommodation in hostels.

How to reach IIT Bombay?

IIT Bombay is located at Powai, which is in the North-Eastern part of Mumbai. One can travel by auto-rickshaws or taxis to reach IIT from the nearest stations. The nearest stations for Central Railway are Kanjur Marg or Vikhroli. The nearest station for Western Railway is Andheri.

International flights land at Sahar Airport which is about 7kms from IIT. The Domestic Airport-SantaCruz is about 10kms from IIT. Pre-paid taxis and auto-ricksaws are available at the airports.

Am I the right person to attend the workshop?

If you have done a course in computer networks and have a fairly good knowledge of Linux/Unix then you are in a comfortable position. The workshop starts from the basics and builds up gradually.

What is the duration of workshop?

SecNet 2006 is a 3-day(March 3rd - 5th, 2006) workshop and is organized by CSE department, IIT Bombay.
