Q: What are the typical problems faced in rural education using ICT?
Some of the problems faced are:
1. Government Interference
2. Electricity in rural areas.
3. No network or very limited connectivity
4. Too many out-of school students.
5. Teachers dont easily get the feeling of the new technology.
Q: Where to get the softwares to teach students?
NGOs like Azim premji and American India Foundation provide the software for
free to teach rural children.Contact them to get more information. Some
organization do provide software but the cost is high.
Q: Will the NGOs help to make a kiosk for rural education? How?
Azim Premji Foundation has extensively helped to make kioks in rural areas
through their Community Learning Center. AIF also have helped in making many
kiosks for learning. Contact them to get more information.
